Fix Long Beach is an immensely important program aimed at helping to reduce pet overpopulation in the city of Long Beach. Organized by Claudia Hoffmann, Fix Long Beach is operated by a group of volunteers and citizens devoted to providing free spay and neuter mobile clinics to low- income residents with pets throughout the greater city of Long Beach.
What a great day for nearly 100 pets in need of homes. During the Heidi and Frank Pet Adoption Day Event held at the spcaLA P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village, June 8, 2013, nearly 100 dogs and cats were adopted. According to sources, many more pet adoptions will occur as the impact of the event continues.

Long Beach, CA, June 22, 2013: The Uptown Dog Park Association is holding the Inaugural "Dashing Dogs of Summer" – an all breed race event- Saturday June 22nd from 9 AM to 3 PM in Scherer Park – 4600 Long Beach Blvd. There will be seven different race divisions for dogs up to 30 pounds.
