How To Get Started

Hello pet service and product providers. On behalf of The Pet Post community we would like to welcome you to our directory services. 

How To Get Started: Within the login panel select 'create an account'. You will be prompted to complete your business profile. This is your company's first imprint. Please brand your business profile by adding a logo or a photo. Once you have successfully completed the registration and profile process you will be notified your registration is complete. You will receive an email confirming your username and password. Return to the home page and login with your new credentials

  • Login using your username and password. Select the 'Directory Services' tab located on the top page of the website. Select the city you desire to list your business. Select the category you wish to place your listing. On the following page you will select 'add your listing here' tab. This is where you will create your business listing tailored to your business. Have fun!(Should you not see a category that applies to your business contact The Pet Post using the contact tab located on the upper right hand corner of website.)
  • On the 'add listing page' add your business information i.e., name of business, description of business, business phone number, fax, email, and website address. Please take attention to the 'Tags' box and 'file' box. 
    1. In the 'tags' box add key business words that relate to your business. For example, if you entered a grooming business you may choose to add key words such as: Long Beach grooming, dog groomer, cat grooming, pet care. When a reader types in key words such as these to The Pet Post search engine your business will populate
    2. In the 'file' box you can upload PDF files or word documents that you wish to share with customer accessing your directory listing. The files you upload can be price lists, product information, ordering information, and so forth.
  • On the 'map' section please make sure to click on 'locate in map'. This will provide your customers the visual location of your business.
  • Within the 'images' section add your logo and other photos you would like to share with your customer pertaining to your business. This is a great opportunity to highlight your business.
    1. Please note that if you are not able to upload logo or photos you may have to resize the images you are uploading
    2. Should you need assistance contact The Pet Post using the contact tab located on the upper right hand corner of website.
