Carmel Beach provides dogs, owners, and family lots of fun.  No leash law for dogs and fire pits are provided south of 10th avenue. Take your dog, ball, family, and camera and enjoy a day of plentiful fun.  Enjoy a nice fire to bring a close to a day of activities.

Cayucos-Morro Strand Beach is one of a few beaches in this area where dogs and their owners can play and enjoy the scenery. This location has a few picnic tables for a family outing with your dog.  Restrooms available.

Long Beach-Off-Leash Dog Beach Zone.  Long Beach has the only off-leash dog beach in L.A.. Known as Rosie's Beach, this 3-acre park is a great place to meet other dog owners and enjoy a day with your dog. Swim, play ball, or toss a Frisbee. Huntington Beach-Bolsa Chica Dog Beach dog beach is a public beach where dog owners and their dogs can enjoy a day of play. San Diego-Coronado Dog Beach is an excellent off-leash dog park for dogs and people. Enjoy a day in or around the water playing with your dog and friends. Buena Park Dog Park - The dog park is directly north of the tennis courts at George Bellis Park, 7171 8th St. Hours of operation:  Daily, 8am to dusk. Opens at 10am on Wednesdays

Culver City Dog Park. The Boneyard is Open from Sunrise until 10:00 PM Daily.  The Boneyard is located in the middle of a large park, and is an ideal setting for Culver City's off leash Dog Park. It is a little over 1 acre in size, with both a small and a large dog park area, benches, trees, temporary shade and weather structures, water fountains and utilizes decomposed granite as ground cover.  The park is located on Duquesne Avenue (about 3/4 mile east of Overland), south of Jefferson Blvd. in Culver City Park.

Chino Hills State Park. Dogs are not allowed at Chino Hills State Park except at Bane Canyon Road, McLean Overlook, the Rolling M Ranch and in the campgrounds. They must be on leash at all times and are not allowed in the backcountry or on trails. Pets must not be left alone at any time. Dogs are not allowed at any other location.

Claremont. The Claremont POOCH Park is located at 100 S. College Ave. Hours of operation: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m..

Costa Mesa. Costa Mesa Bark Park is a two-acre fenced off-leash park in the City of Costa Mesa. The park is administered by the Costa Mesa Bark Park Foundation, a California incorporated public benefit non-profit, comprised entirely of volunteers and wholly dependent financially on donations. The park has a separate area for small, elderly and disabled dogs. Facilities include double-gated entrance, parking, trees, and benches, water dispensers for the dogs, dog waste bags and restroom. 890 Arlington Dr., Costa Mesa

Downey.  Dog Park. Hours: Dawn to Dusk. The Dog Park is located in the southeast section of Rio San Gabriel Park, 9612 Ardine Street in a 200-foot by 200-foot fenced dog run with two sections, the small dog section height limit is 15 inches to the shoulder.

El Segundo.  El Segundo Dog Park.  600 E. Imperial Ave.  90245. East Imperial Avenue between McCarthy Court and Sheldon Street. The El Segundo Dog Park provides dogs of all sizes a place to play and run free.  There are designated areas for both small and large dogs to exercise with similar sized pooches.

Encino Sepulveda Basin Off-Leash Dog Park. This fenced, off-leash dog park includes three separate areas for pets of different sizes. It's a great place for your dog to get some exercise. 17550 Victory Blvd., Encino, CA 91406

Fullerton. Pooch Park. There is a small dog area for pooches under 25lbs as well as a large dog area for big, active, high energy pooches. Huntington Beach. Best Friends Dog Park is an acre and a half of land located next to Central Park on Edwards Street. It provides pooches the opportunity to romp and play with their own kind.  A steel fence separates two huge pens, one for the 12" and below "small and challenged-dog". Irvine.  Central Bark. The Central Bark dog park features almost three acres of open field for off-leash play. Watering facility for dogs. Handicap accessible. Laguna Beach Dog Park. Hours of operation: The dog park is open daily dawn to dusk from Thursday to Tuesday. The park is closed all day Wednesday for maintenance. The park is also closed during and after rain. Located on Laguna Canyon Road (133) near El Toro Road

Laguna Niguel Dog Park. 31575 Golden Lantern Laguna Niguel, CA 92677‎. Fenced, water, landscaped.  Over an acre at Golden Lantern near Chapparosa Park.

Laguna Woods Dog Park. The dog park is located on Ridge Route between Moulton and Avenida Carlota Hours: Seven days a week - 7:00 a.m. – dusk. The park is currently open to both big and small dogs at the same time. Le Mesa. Harry Griffen Regional Park. Canine Corners Dog Park. The off-leash dog run at Harry Griffen Park is maintained by volunteers. 9550 Milden St

Long Beach. Recreation Dog Park is located at 5201 E 7th Street Recreation Dog provides dogs with large play areas, water, and great fun. Due to this dogs park popularity it has expanded over two acres of land. Bags and pooper scoopers are available. Check this park out.  A great place to meet other pet owners and to enjoy a day outdoor with your dog.

Long Beach.  Uptown Dog Park is located at 4600 Long Beach Blvd, West side of Scherer Park. This dog area is near picnic tables and nearby parking. The Uptown dog park provides separate areas for small and large dogs to play off-leash.

Long Beach. K-9 Corner Dog Park is located at 9th and Pacific Ave of Long Beach.  Residents in the north Pine Ave area of Long Beach partnered with Metropolitan Transit Authority and the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency to transform a vacant lot into the K-9 dog park.  The park has water fountains for dogs and people, seating, evening lighting, and separate areas for small and large dogs.

Long Beach. Lincoln Park is located in Downtown Long Beach at Broadway and Pacific.  The park has spaces of large dogs and small dogs, benches for owners, free doggie wasted bags, and double entrance gates.

Long Beach.  Long Beach-Off-Leash Dog Beach Zone. Long Beach has the only off-leash dog beach in L.A.. Long Beach. Wrigley Heights Dog Park.  The dog park accommodates dogs with an entry/vestibule area for unleashing or holding dogs when entering or leaving the dog park section.  Location: 3401 Golden Ave. Size: 1.9 acres. Hours: 6am - 10pm every day. Park may be closed Mondays before noon for maintenance.

Los Angeles. Griffith Park Dog Park. Off-leash dog park. The number listed above is for the Griffith Park Rangers Station; any questions can be referred to them. There is a separate, fenced and gated area for small and timid dogs. Food is not allowed in picnic area. 1.6 acres. There is a separate area for small or timid dogs. Open sunrise to sunset. Los Angeles. Herman Dog Park. Hermon Dog Park is an off-leash park adjacent to the historic Arroyo Seco of Northeast Los Angeles. The park has two fenced areas, one for large dogs and one for small, elderly and disabled dogs. Facilities include a double-gated entrance, trees, benches, and water dispensers for the dogs. The surface is decomposed granite, for mud free, easy clean up. Biodegradable doggie waste bags are available in dispensers. Los Angeles.  Runyon Canyon Park. Runyon Canyon Park is a 160-acre city park near Hollywood and the Hollywood Hills. The park features a 90-acre off- eash dog park with an abundance of hiking trails. Los Angeles. Westridge-Canyonback  Wilderness Park. Just over 2 miles west of the 405 on Sunset turn north (the only way you can turn) on Mandeville. First Stop sign (Westridge) turn left and continue 2.3 miles to the top and fire gate. Watch posted parking signs, no parking right at the top on weekends. Pasadena. Alice Frost Kennedy Off-Leash Dog Area. The Alice Frost Kennedy Off-Leash Dog Area offers 2.5 acres of herbicide free grassland for your pet's enjoyment. It is open from dawn to dusk. The only requirements are that the dogs must have a current license and be up-to-date on vaccines. Owners are also responsible for cleaning up after their dog. Amenities include water stations for both people and dogs, pop bag dispensers, shade trees, benches, small mounds, separate areas for large and small dogs, and a 52 spaced parking area. Redondo Beach Dog Park is located at the northern end of Dominguez Park. The facility consists of a turfed and fenced three-acre dog run, including separate areas for large and small dogs. Amenities include benches and drinking fountains for both dogs and their humans. The park is open dawn until dusk every day except Wednesdays, when it is closed until noon for maintenance.
