Long Beach, CA – July 14, 2013 The Pet Post in partnership with Alpha Pet Care of Long Beach hosted A Second Chance pet adoption and pet fair. This is the fourth A Second Chance pet adoption and pet fair organized by The Pet Post beginning in 2012 with supporting business allies, Alpha Pet Care, Pet Sit Pros, CanvasPet, and local merchants.
During the A Second Chance and Summer Dog Days Pet Bazaar approximately 25 pet adoption applications were received by various animal rescue groups in attendance. To date, the A Second Chance pet adoption events have made it possible for the homing of nearly 100 displaced cats and dogs in need of new and loving homes. Doug Erickson, founder of The Pet Post says "when an animal rescue group homes a displaced pet this allows a group to return to an animal shelter and save another animal from death row. Mathematically it can be said that these events have assisted with helping the lives of nearly 200 dogs and cats combined."
The Pet Post in conjunction with sponsors and local businesses will continue A Second Chance pet adoption and pet fairs throughout the greater Long Beach area, and work as a community member to help animals in need.
